Short days, cold nights. The wide snowy surface of a frozen lake, the sky like a vast ocean of blue overhead.
It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but what if some of those words are set in stone?
These last two years have been difficult ones for school children because of the pandemic.
First, it was patios. Then, it was limited capacity, with masks and socially-distanced tables.

There’s no denying it – there’s something special about the smell of laundry fresh from the line.
Hull, masts, rigging, keel. The creak of the timbers, the smell of the sea. And the sails – those glorious sails – catching the wind and snapping in the breeze.
The regional airwaves just won’t be the same without the musical modulation and lyrical laughter of Lisa Laco.
