Spring 2006

What a wonderful winter! Lots of snow for the skiers and moderate temperatures to enjoy other great outdoor pursuits.
As we welcome the warmer days ahead it strikes me that the change of seasons is what makes Thunder Bay among one of the best places on the planet to live.
I had the good fortune of traveling to Australia in January and while dining one evening, a waiter struck up a conversation with my husband and me. This very pleasant fellow told us he had worked in both Montreal and Banff. He loved the scenery, saying it was superior to Australia, and longed for the cooler temperatures found in Canada. As our Canada-loving waiter pointed out, “You can always put on extra clothes when you’re cold, but you can’t take off more clothes when it’s this hot!” I guess the grass is always green on the other side.
