Glory Jewitt

March 2026

Congratulations to Glory Jewitt on the release of her book ‘In Pursuit of Glory’.

Growing up in Thunder Bay, Glory’s career trajectory began like many, enrolling at Confederation College where she trained as a dental assistant.

Glory later left Thunder Bay for Fort McMurray, where she started as a labourer in the Canadian Oil Sands, but that was just the beginning. Her ambition and drive led her to become a Global Vice President for one of the largest Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) firms in the world, which then paved the way for her to serve as an Executive at Amazon before taking on her current role as Global Head of Environment, Health & Safety at Google Data Centers.

“It was never my intention to “fall into” the gritty, male-dominated world of industrial construction in Fort McMurray, but the Oil and Gas sector became the crucible where my leadership was forged”, says Glory.

Currently living outside of Atlanta, Georgia, Glory still owns the first home she had purchased at Silver Islet while in her 20’s and admits there is no place she’d rather be. “Summer in Northwestern, Ontario reminds me of the grit and resilience that has helped me to build my career”.

Glory’s book tracks her professional career and personal experiences. Everything from lost relationships to divorce to the challenges women face when trying to balance ambitious career goals with the complexities of motherhood.

“While the journey from Thunder Bay has been a whirlwind, the truth is: I am just getting started. I am currently immersing myself in the world of Artificial Intelligence. I plan to learn everything I can about how AI will reshape our industries, ensuring that as we move into this high-tech future, we do so with a foundation of ethics, empathy, and inclusive leadership where technology and human authenticity work hand-in-hand”, says Glory.

“I intend to continue pursuing the passion projects that keep me grounded, like my podcast, “Keith and Glory – We’re Not Sorry.” Hosting this with my lifelong best friend and fellow Thunder Bay native, Keith Madge, is a vital part of my life. It’s our fun, unfiltered release where we dive into all things pop culture and fashion with the kind of light-hearted banter that only two decades of friendship can produce”.

While the boardrooms and tech frontiers keep her driven, Glory says her greatest adventures are the ones shared with her family. “I plan to continue traveling with my husband, Eric, and our children, treating every destination as a classroom for culture and adventure”, says Glory.
